EDS has five core values that are paramount in all drilling operations :
Safety is EDS’ main priority:
- Safety training is mandatory for all EDS all personnel working within an EDS working environment.
- Site inductions are conducted when working within EDS exclusion zones at the workplace.
- When working in high-risk areas, safety controls are put in place of all high-risk areas. Hazard identification, take 5, systematic control of all hazards and/or elimination of any or all hazards within the workplace.
- Training matrix for all EDS personnel, review of all safe work procedures, completion of job safety analyses for new tasks or controlling hazards identified at new locations.
- Risk assessments of new drilling locations and existing locations.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Regular inspection of all equipment, regular routine maintenance, identification of critical parts and quality of all parts.
- Perform pre-start checks, identify and document all faults, understand the equipment’s capabilities and not exceed them.
- EDS personnel will respect the equipment as if it was their own.
- EDS prides itself on sample quality, minimal or no sample contamination.
- Sampling systems are regularly cleaned and inspected to always provide the highest sample quality.
- EDS will provide the best quality of down-hole drill tooling to maximise core recovery and presentation, in soft broken formation and where a recovery clause is part of the agreement.
- Drill bit design, barrel set-up, and drilling muds (products) will play a very important part in the execution and success of the scope of work.
- Reverse circulation (RC) exploration, grade control, and air-core.
- RC rods, sampling diverters, sample hose and cyclone will be inspected and cleaned regularly with high air pressure.
- Chip samples are critical to the sample quality and presentation, RC bit design (hammer and/or blade) play a critical part in sample quality.
- EDS focuses on safety, equipment quality, and sample quality.
- EDS strives to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets, using the correct design down-hole tooling, understanding the machine capabilities, and ensuring safety of all personnel.
